Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish emp loyment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that w ere causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)D ate of Violation:06/06/13 Location:Front of Town House Condition:Employees were exposed to the hazard of being crushed/struck by 46-foot trusses that were not p roperly hoisted with an approved spreader bar. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to use a spreader bar in accord ance with the Wood Truss Council of America recommendations per BCSI-BI. Abateme nt documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs, training certificat ion, etc.) is required for this item.
