29 CFR 1910.36(g)(1): The ceiling of an exit route was not at least seven feet six inches (2.3 m) high and/or projections from the ceiling reached a point less than six feet eight inches (2.0 m) from the floor: Employees performing box-strapping tasks in Department 108, All-Fall (in connection to the kill floor), were exposed to hazards related to not being able to evacuate safely during an emergency. At one end of the work area, a metal roller brace spanning the egress route measured approximately 71" from the floor. At the other end, the bottom roller on the conveyor which the employee(s) must duck under, measured approximately 66" from the floor. 29 CFR 1903.19(c)(2) abatement of the above violation was verified at the time of inspection. No certification is required.
