Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i): The employer shall provide training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program are understood by employees and that the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, usage, and removal of the energy controls are acquired by employees. The training shall include the following: (A):Each authorized employee shall receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control. a) On or before 11/26/2024, the employer did not provide each authorized employee including machine operators of the LMC Latitude Machine Company P2200-004 with authorized employee training on ZES versus IES, in that each authorized employee was not trained to understand that when performing servicing and maintenance such as setups, jams, and cleaning to follow ZES machine specific procedures that shows each energy source such as, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics and gravity and how to shutdown, isolate and lockout under ZES prior to conducting service and maintenance operations such as changing plates and clearing jams.
