29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a)AMTEC Corporation dba Tech Ord, a Division of AMTEC Corporation, 47600 180th Street, Clear Lake, SD 57226: On or about and at times prior to November 25, 2024, the employer did not ensure appropriate guarding was implemented on the Cincinnati Fan Model 500S on the west external wall of Building 105 to prevent employee exposure to pinch-point hazards created by movement between the blower wheel and the wheel housing. This condition exposed employees to pinch-point hazards.
