29 CFR 1910.95(i)(2)(i): The employer did not ensure that hearing protectors are worn by an employee who is required by 29 CFR 1910.95(b)(1) to wear personal protective equipment: At the commercial facility located at 1615 W Arrow Street, in Marshall Missouri 65340, on October 2, 2024, and at times prior: The employer did not ensure that hearing protectors were worn by the sandblasting operators, who were exposed to noise levels at or above the action level while performing sandblasting activities and did not have a baseline audiogram established. Employees were exposed to continuous noise levels higher than 85 dBA in the following areas: a) Sandblasting - An employee was exposed to continuous noise level at 421.1% dose of the allowable 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 dBA or an equivalent sound level of approximately 100.3 dBA. The sampling was performed for 358 minutes during one shift.
