29 CFR 1910.335(a)(1)(i): Employees working in areas where there are potential electrical hazards shall be provided with, and shall use, electrical protective equipment that is appropriate for the specific parts of the body to be protected and for the work to be performed. Note: Personal protective equipment requirements are contained in subpart I of this part. a. On or about May 22, 2024, at a worksite located on Homestead Lane Washington Island, Wisconsin; the employer had employees working to clear tree limbs and branches from a downed distribution line that operated at approximately 7,200 VAC and did not ensure that electrical protective equipment was used. b. On or about May 23, 2024, at a worksite located in Detroit Harbor Washington Island, Wisconsin; the employer had employees working to clear tree limbs and branches from a downed distribution line that operated at approximately 7,200 VAC and did not ensure that electrical protective equipment was used. c.
