Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003A Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.416(a)(1): Employees were permitted to work in proximity to electric power circuits and were not protected against electric shock by de-energizing and grounding the circuits or effectively guarding the circuits by insulation or other means: The employer failed to protect employees from electrical hazards. This was most recently documented on February 6, 2024, at the jobsite located at 4259 Missouri Highway 13, Lampe, Missouri, when the employer failed to ensure or require overhead lines be deenergized, grounded, or other protective measures were in place to protect employees from electrocution. Two employees were nearly electrocuted when equipment they were working around came into close proximity of a 7200 volt overhead power line.
