29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Building 1, On or about January 27, 2023, employees were exposed to caught in hazards from unguarded in running nip point of the conveyor system on Machine #: 111 Bradbury, Roll Former Model: D2.44.16 Serial Number: 10062. b) Building 1, On or about January 27, 2023, employees were exposed to caught in and struck by hazards due to the safety interlock system being bypassed allowing entry into the caged areas while the system cycles on Machine #: 106 Make: Bradbury Model: "Upender" Serial Number: 10058. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and state employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
