Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003A Hazard:
1910.146(c)(5)(ii)(F) The atmosphere within the space shall be periodically tested as necessary to ensure that the continuous forced air ventilation is preventing the accumulation of a hazardous atmosphere. Any employee who enters the space, or that employee's authorized representative, shall be provided with an opportunity to observe the periodic testing required by this paragraph. 29 CFR 1910.146(d)(3)(vi):The employer did not verify that conditions in the permit space were acceptable for entry throughout the duration of an authorized entry: a) On or about July 21, 2022 and at time prior, while employees were cleaning tanker trailers containing chemicals such as, but not limited to petroleum distillates.
