29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section: On or about 5/13/2022, at the mechanically separated meat (MSM) machine, authorized employees performing maintenance activities without first utilizing the procedure to deenergize and affix lockout/tagout devices to the machine in the following instances: a) at the compressed air line ball valve located beneath the Contherm units; b) beneath the Mettler Toledo operating console at the on/off switch. PECO Foods, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1527370, citation number 1, item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on 10/19/2021, with respect to a workplace located at 3701 Reese Phifer Avenue, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401.
