29 CFR 1926.1053(a)(8):A metal spreader of locking device must be provided on each stepladder to hold the front and back sections in an open position when the ladder is being used. The employer is failing to protect employees from fall hazards associated with using ladders during residential construction work. This was most recently documented on December 14, 2021 at 8202 S 194th St., Gretna Nebraska. A 10 foot-self supporting ladder used by employees did not have the metal spreader or locking device engaged while being used.
