Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.303(b)(7)(iv): Equipment with damaged parts that may adversely affect its safe operation or its mechanical strength, such as broken, bent, cut, or deteriorated by corrosion, chemical action, or overheating parts shall not be used: (a) Tear Down Department - Employees using the Tear Down Saw 2 were exposed to electrical shock hazards from exposed live conductors on or about August 1, 2018. The electrical cover on the 230/460 volt Baldor motor was damaged and no longer attached. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
