29 CFR 1910.107(d)(7)(i): Exhaust ducts shall be protected against mechanical damage and have a clearance from unprotected combustible construction or other combustible material of not less than 18 inches. (a) Powder Coating Operation - The exhaust ducts from the powder coating rooms travelled through interior wooden walls and a sheet of Styrofoam on the exterior wall, the exhaust duct was located on the floor and employees carried boxes over the duct, on or about April 11, 2018. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
