29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): a) Packaging Lab, 50 Frontage Road, Andover, MA On or about March 29, 2018, the personal protective equipment assessment conducted by the employer did not evaluate the appropriate gloves to be used during tasks that involved distribution or transfer of chemicals, including, but not limited to methyl-iodide and sulfuric acid. The employer addressed personal protective equipment, and the use of gloves, however, the employer did not specify which gloves were to be used for which chemicals. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
