29 CFR 1910.1026(c): Employees were exposed to an airborne concentration of chromium (VI) which exceeded 5 micrograms per cubic meter of air, as an 8-hour time-weighted average: Employees engaged in welding activities in the welding bay were exposed to health hazards associated with hexavalent chromium in that the following exposures were identified over the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL): (a) Employee engaged in welding activities in the welding bay was exposed to hexavalent chromium at an eight-hour time-weighted average of 11.9 microgram per cubic meter, which exceed OSHA PEL of 5 microgram per cubic meter during 480 minutes of personal air sampling performed on January 19th, 2018. (b) Employee engaged in welding activities in the welding bay was exposed to hexavalent chromium at an eight-hour time-weighted average of 6.4 microgram per cubic meter, which exceed OSHA PEL of 5 microgram per cubic meter during 480 minutes of personal air sampling performed on January 19th, 2018.
