29 CFR 1910.146(c)(1): The employer did not evaluate the workplace to determine if any spaces were permit-required confined spaces: a) Bunting Bearings, Inc. located at 200 Van Buren Street in Delta, Ohio; On or about November 17, 2017, the employer did not ensure the workplace was evaluated to determine if any spaces were permit-required confined spaces. Employees entering the pits of the vertical centrifugal casting machine located in the centrifugal department to install the repaired vertical caster were exposed to potential hazardous atmospheres and water engulfment hazards.
