29 CFR 1910.106(e)(6): In locations where flammable vapors may have been present, precautions were not taken to prevent ignition by eliminating or controlling sources of ignition such as but not limited to open flames, lightning, smoking, cutting and welding, hot surfaces, frictional heat, sparks (static, electrical, and mechanical), spontaneous ignition, chemical and physical-chemical reactions, and radiant heat: a) Foam department - On or about April 21, 2017, Heaters were placed inside tent #1 to maintained an 80 degree temperature of Polyol. The heater was placed within three feet of Polyol, a class 4 flammable liquid. b) Foam department - On or about April 21, 2017, Heaters were placed inside tent #2to maintained an 80 degree temperature of Polyol. The heater was placed within three feet of Polyol, a class 4 flammable liquid. c) Foam department - On or about April 21, 2017, Heaters were placed inside tent #3to maintained an 80 degree temperature of Polyol. The heater was placed within three feet of Polyol, a class 4 flammable liquid. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
