29 CFR 1910.95(i)(1): The employer did not make hearing protectors available to all employees exposed to an 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels or greater at no cost to the employees: a) Kumho Tire Georgia, Inc., Macon, GA - In tire inspection area, the TUG line #1 operator was exposed to noise at a time-weighted average of 86.5 dBA, which exceeded the 12 hours shift extended hours action level of 82.1 dBA. Hearing protection was not available for employees in this area, on or about 3/8/17. b) Kumho Tire Georgia, Inc., Macon, GA - In tire inspection area, the TUG line #1 operator was exposed to noise at a time-weighted average of 85.8 dBA, which exceeded the 12 hours shift extended hours action level of 82.1 dBA.
