29 CFR 1910.179(j)(2): The following items were not being inspected for defects at intervals as defined in paragraph (j)(1)(ii) of this section or as specifically indicated, including observation during operation for any defects which might appear between regular inspections: On or about November 03, 2016 employees were using a gantry crane in the acid wash area to lift and support the boat when manually acid washing a boat hull after it failed inspection on August 27, 2015. The gantry crane was not re-inspected before being used in 2016.
