Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): Employers shall develop, implement, and maintain at each workplace, a written hazard communication program which at least describes how the criteria specified in paragraphs (f), (g), and (h) of this section for labels and other forms of warning, material safety data sheets, and employee information and training will be met. a. On or about August 05, 2016, at the above addressed jobsite, employees were required to work with hazardous chemicals including, but not limited to sulfuric acid, bleach, and sanitizer. The employer failed to develop a written hazard communication program with the minimum criteria listed above. Employees were there by exposed to chemical burns and skin irritation. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
