OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employee(s) in that employee(s) were exposed to the hazard of being struck-by: Inside of the Fabrication Department, employees were exposed to a struck-by hazard due to the lack of safe handling and installation of dies on the following equipment: a/ K.R. Wilson Hydraulic Press, m/n 3700V2-B, s/n 2051. One method of abatement to correct this apparent hazard is to identify and label the die with the tonnage, die size, upper die weight, total die weight, and maximum stroke requirements as required by ANSI B11.2-1995, paragraph 9.2.1.
