29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(12): Ladders used where the employee or the ladder could contact exposed energized electrical equipment did not have non-conductive side rails: Jobsite, 668 Custer Lane, Tarentum, PA 15084: On or about September 12, 2014, employees were permitted to use half-sections of a 40 foot aluminum extension ladder with conductive side rails for gaining access to a scaffold and roof. A single phase 7200 volt un-insulated power line was located approximately 4 feet horizontally from the building and 19 feet and .5 inches vertically from the ground.
