29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1): Open-sided floors and/or platforms four feet or more above adjacent floor or ground level were not guarded with standard railings (or equivalent) and toe boards: Note: Toe boards are only required when persons can pass, there is moving equipment or there is equipment with which falling materials could create a hazard. a) The doorway is not guarded to the debarker addition when logs are not being put into position which exposes the operator to approximately an 8' fall when going through the area to scale logs. b) The core conveyor area needs guarding that is approximately 9' long with a 3' opening. c) The shipping dock is approximately 4' high and has a missing section of guard rail approximately 12' long.
