29 CFR 1926.1101(g)(1): The employer did not use engineering controls and work practices listed at (g)(1)(I) through (g)(1)(iii) of this section in all operations covered by 29 CFR 1926.1101, regardless of the levels of the exposure: a) On or about 20 June 2014, the employer did not ensure that their employee conducting demolition work in the cafeteria and removing pipe thermal system insulation (TSI) containing 5-35% chrysotile asbestos, was protected by the following engineering controls and work practices: HEPA vacuums were not used to collect debris and dust, wet methods were not used, and waste and debris was not promptly cleaned up and disposed of, thereby exposing their employee to the hazards associated with asbestos.
