29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1)(i): When the employer had assessed the workplace hazard(s) and determined that hazard(s) were present, the employer did not select and/or use the types of personal protective equipment that would protect the affected employee from the hazard. (a) In the Plant 1 hull building area, on July 17, 2013 and at times prior to, employees used their bare hands to apply fiberglass and resin containing styrene and methyl ethyl ketone peroxide to boat hulls, exposing employees to a chemical hazard. (b) In the Plant 1 hull building area, on July 17, 2013 and at times prior to, employees who use there bare hands to apply fiberglass and resin to boat hulls use acetone to remove the resin from their skin, exposing employees to a chemical hazard.
