29 CFR 1910.179(j)(2)(iv): Monthly inspections of hoist chains, with a certification record which includes the date of inspection, the signature of the person who performed the inspection and an identifier of the chain which was inspected, were not performed: a) Shredder Machine Area - Employees operate an overhead crane in supporting shredder machine activities including, but not limited to, removal of material from feed roll drum. Certification records were not completed during visual inspections, and thus unavailable; on, or about, 06/03/2013. Note: The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
