29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: The employer failed to protect employees from potential electrical hazards associate with using temporary flexible cords in lieu of permanent wiring. This was most recently evident during the inspection of the meat department at the facility located at 801 Kaheka St. Honolulu, HI 96814, where the employer has employees using the Butler model # 120, serial # 3946 to make hamburger patties from ground beef and the machine is plugged into a temporary flexible cord that has been fixed permanently in lieu of standard electrical conduit.
