29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access: (a) Front side, new residential construction located at 2744 Carrick Court, Powder Springs, GA 30127: The 28-foot Louisville (Model - L2121-28) Aluminum Extension Ladder used to access the roof was not secured to the structure or extended 3-foot above the working surface to allow safe access on and off the roof. Employee accessing this ladder from the roof was exposed to falls off approximately 20-feet, 4-inches to the ground.
