29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Machine guarding was not provided to protect operator(s) and other employees from hazards created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Aerocom Industries at 1921 Miller Drive, Longmont, CO 80501: On and before 6/1/12, the employer did not protect employees from hazards created by a rotating fan blade in the compressor room. The guard on the fan was missing. This condition exposed employees to amputation hazards. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").
