29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): The employer did not provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new physical or health hazard the employees had not previously been trained about was introduced into their work area. (Construction Reference 29 CFR 1926.59) The employer does not ensure that employees are provided with effective information and training on the hazardous chemicals in their work place at the time of initial assignment. This violation occurred on or about April 28, 2012, at a residential home under construction where hazard communication training was not provided for employees spraying foam insulation containing diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI), exposing employees to inhalation hazards.
