Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:04/01/13 Location:Front of Building Site 1 Equipment:Koehring Skytrak, Model #8000, Serial #e-14785a-2 Condition:The forklift was provided a seatbelt that did not function. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard, install and utilize a restraint system in accordance with the current version of American National Standards Institute (ANSI) B56.1, "Safety Standard for Powered Industrial Trucks," and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) B56.1-2000, "Safety Standard for Low Lift and High Lift Trucks."
