Nevada Revised Statute 618.375(1): Duties of employers. The employer failed to furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees: The employer did not ensure that their place of employment was free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees as follows: a.Located at the tow truck repair facility at Silver State Towing, two automotive lifts being utilized by an employee, without regard to the frequency of inspection specified by the lift manufacturer, whether it be weekly, monthly, semi-annually, annually or on some other basis, were not inspected by a qualified lift inspector as a minimum annual requirement per the American National Standard for Automotive Lifts - 2008 for operation, inspection and maintenance. Reference: ANSI for Automotive Lifts - 2008, 5.5 A reasonable means of abatement would be to schedule a qualified lift inspector as described in American National Standard for Automotive Lifts - 2008, to inspect both lifts as a minimum of annually.e
