Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazards of being struck-by punctured compressed gas cylinders: a/ At the tool room, three oxygen and one acetylene cylinders in storage were not properly supported to prevent them from being knocked over. One method of abatement to correct this apparent hazard is to secure compressed gas cylinders to prevent them from falling as required by the Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet, P-1-1965, section 3.4.4.
