Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: 29 CFR 1910.35: Employer did not demonstrate compliance with the exit route provisions of NFPA 101-2000, the Life Safety Code, specific to Section 7.1.7.1, changes in level in means of egress was not achieved either by a ramp or a stair where the elevation difference exceeded 21 in.: a)Roll and Belt Department: The roll carrier way ledge located on the rear of the RJ International parabolic roll grinding machine (model number 6020, serial number 2120), was used as a working platform, and did not have a means of egress achieved by a ramp or a stair, on or about 10/16/2007. b)Roll and Belt Department: The roll carrier way ledge located on the rear of the #57 RJ International parabolic roll grinding machine (model number 6020, serial number 2120), was used as a working platform, and did not have a means of egress achieved by a ramp or a stair, on or about 10/26/2007. c)Roll and Belt Department: The roll carrier way ledge located on the rear of the #57 RJ International parabolic roll grinding machine (model number 6020, serial number 2120), was used as a working platform, and did not have a means of egress achieved by a ramp or a stair, on or about 11/7/2007. d)Roll and Belt Department: The roll carrier way ledge located on the rear of the #57 RJ International parabolic roll grinding machine (model number 6020, serial number 2120), was used as a working platform, and did not have a means of egress achieved by a ramp or a stair, on or about 11/19/2007.al
