Section 5(A)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards: On or about 03/13/2007, hooks on overhead cranes were not provided with safety latches. Among other means, one feasible method of abatement is to install safety latches on the hooks as required by Section 2-1.14.5, Hooks, of ASME 30.2-2001. PLEASE NOTE: DOCUMENTATION AND CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
