North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: REF ASME B30.20a-2001, 20-1.2.1(b) Marking (a) Facility, Compound Department- Below the hook lifting device without permanently affixed identification. Note: Among other methods, one feasible acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to affix permanent identification on the lifting device displaying the following information: (1) Manufacturer's name and address, (2) Serial number, (3)lifter weight, if over 100 lbs., (4) rated load.
