Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a. Receive injuries due to broken glass (28.5 inches long by 22.5 inches wide at 43 inches high from floor level) in a door at rest area in the supermarket. The employees were using it to enter to the rest area. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is change the broken glass to a new appropiate safety glass. a. Recibir lesiones dado a cristal roto (28.5 pulgs. largo por 22.5 pulgs. ancho a 43 pulgs.de alto del nivel del piso) en la puerta del area de descanso en el supermercado. Los empleados estaban usandola para entrar al area de descanso. Entre otros metodos, un metodo aceptable y posible de corregir este riesgo es cambiar el cristal roto por un cristal de seguridad nuevo apropiado.
