29 CFR 1910.147(c)(2)(i): Where an energy isolating device was not capable of being locked out, the employer's energy control program under 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(1) did not utilize a tagout system: On the kill floor, the employer is failing to ensure energy control devices are being tagged in accordance with this subpart. This violation was most recently observed at the split saw platform. A quick link/chain is used as an energy control device and is permanently attached to the platform, however, no tag is attached to the platform or energy control device when energy control procedures are initiated on the split saw platform.
