29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface having an unprotected side or edge which was six or more feet (1.8m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) Boiler room, on brick wall cap: On or about June 30, 2025, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards of 12-feet to the lower concrete surface, in that a fall protection system was not provided to employees using the top of the wall as a walking/working surface to perform electrical work.
