29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: On or about May 12, 2025, employees were exposed to fall hazards, while utilizing portable ladders to gain access/egress to the working surface to perform roofing work on a residential home located at 17416 Dartmouth Ave, Cleveland Ohio 44111, the employer did not ensure portable ladders extended 3 feet above the upper landing surface. Ohio's Roof Specialist LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1501430, citation number 01, item number 002 and was affirmed as a final order on January 31, 2022 , with respect to a workplace located at 8648 Ashmede Ct Cir NW, Massillon, OH 44646. Ohio's Roof Specialist LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1744486, citation number 01, item number 03 and was affirmed as a final order on June 5, 2024 , with respect to a workplace located at 6717 Kingsdale Blvd, Parma Heights OH, 44130.
