29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: At the job site located at 15326/15328 Kristina St. Wichita, Kansas, employees engaged in residential roofing activities were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 11 feet from the eave of the residence to the ground below in that the ladder used to access the roof was not extended at least 3 feet above the eave or was not secured to the structure. Carlos Soria was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1753023, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 09-16-2024, with respect to a workplace located at 2287-2289 North 159th Ct. East, Wichita, KS 67228. Carlos Soria was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1644307, citation number 1, item number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on 06-13-2023, with respect to a workplace located at 630 Sweet Water Cir.
