29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Installation and use. Listed or labeled equipment shall be installed and used in accordance with any instructions included in the listing or labeling. a) On or about May 13, 2025, employees working in and around the engineering room/office were exposed to electrical and fire hazards due to a relocatable power tap (power strip) being affixed to a wall and modified for direct wiring to a nearby wall-mounted electrical panel to serve in lieu of a branch-circuit receptacle. b) On or about May 13, 2025, employees working in the IT room were exposed to electrical and fire hazards due to multiple relocatable power taps (power strips) being affixed to a metal wall framing track and connected in series (daisy-chained) to each other in lieu of branch-circuit receptacles.
