29 CFR 1926.451(e)(9)(iv): Cross braces on tubular welded frame scaffolds were used as a means of access or egress. (a) Quarryville Water Tank - While disassembling the supported scaffolding erected around the exterior of the water tank, an employee, working on the very top section of the scaffolding, climbed down the frame using the cross braces on the inside as footing to get from the top level to the next lower level before continuing to disassemble, on or about February 4, 2025. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and state employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
