29 CFR 1910.307(c): Equipment, wiring methods, and installations of equipment in hazardous (classified) locations were not intrinsically safe, approved for the hazardous (classified) location, or safe for the hazardous (classified) location: (a) Food Grade Packaging Building - The local exhaust ventilation (LEV) system used to capture flammable vapors during tapping of Class 2 flammable liquids (including but not limited to acetone and isopropyl alcohol 99%) had a general purpose fan rather than a fan approved for a Class I Division 1 Group D hazardous location, on or about November 7, 2024. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and state employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
