29 CFR 1910.157(g)(1): An educational program was not provided for all employees to familiarize them with the general principles of fire extinguisher use and the hazards involved with incipient stage firefighting: On or about October 22, 2024, the employer did not ensure that employees were provided with training on the general principals of fire extinguisher use and the hazards involved with incipient-stage firefighting. Employees were exposed to fire, respiratory, and burn hazards in that the employer did not make safe the area near and around the dye machine's outfeed conveyor prior to performing torching or welding tasks. Employees were exposed to fire hazards in that combustible mulch was not removed or protective measures such as, but not limited to, safe barriers or blankets applied prior to performing the hot work.
