29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: On or about October 2, 2024, the employer failed to ensure that the interlock on the Robotic Press #32 (Taylor Winfield Technologies, Brilex Technical Solutions) was working. The press was being operated while the rear gate door was open and the interlock on the rear gate is malfunctioning and/or not fully connected for use.
