29 CFR 1910.1000(e): Feasible administrative or engineering controls were not determined and implemented to achieve compliance with the limits prescribed in 29 CFR 1910.1000(a) through (d): (a) Walk-In Cooler - On or about August 1, 2024, a store associate/stocker was exposed to carbon monoxide at an 8-hour Time Weight Average (TWA) of 176.4 PPM which is 3.53 times the OSHA Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 50 PPM, while operating a gas-powered pressure washer inside a walk-in cooler. The employer did not determine and implement feasible administrative and/or engineering controls to achieve compliance with OSHA PEL for carbon monoxide.
