29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(iii): Special hand tools for placing and removing material(s) was not provided to permit easy handling of material without the operator placing a hand in the danger zone: a) Popcorn Counter - On or about July 12, 2024, the employer failed to provide service clerks with an effective hand tool when required to manually remove popcorn from inside the Corntreat Cooker/Mixer Mark 10, Model: 2410-00-112 Serial Number: 2410-00-112-637, while the equipment was in operation and the agitator paddles were rotating. A service clerk was exposed to struck and caught-by hazards to their hand and arm when reaching inside the tub of the mixer with an approximately 8" aluminum scoop to remove caramel popcorn from the mixer.
