29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a) LHJ Remodeling, LLC located at 7507 Walnut Dr, CANAL WINCHESTER, OH 43110: On or about June 3, 2024, the employer did not ensure that employees engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower level were protected from falls. Roofers were engaged in residential construction activities on a roof that varied from over ten to 22 feet near the edge of the roof. The employees were not utilizing a compliant fall protection/prevention system which exposed them to falls of 22 feet. LHJ Remodeling, LLC was previously cited for a serious violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1511085, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on June 14, 2021 with respect to a workplace located at 5465 Polar Dr. Lewis Center, OH 43035. LHJ Remodeling, LLC was previously cited for a serious violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1448221, citation number 1, item number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on February 26, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 297 Bruce Ct., Westerville, OH 43081.
