29 CFR 1910.134(k): The employer did not provide comprehensive, understandable training which did not occur annually and/or more often if necessary: (a) Production area - On or about May 22, 2024, the employer did not ensure employees required to wear ULINE S-19253 filtering facepiece respirators were provided effective respiratory protection training, thereby exposing the employees to hazards associated with respirable dust. Respirator training shall include, at a minimum, why respiratory protection is necessary; factors that compromise protection; proper fit; proper use; limitations and capabilities; change schedules; emergency use; inspection; maintenance and/or storage; general requirements of 29 CFR 1910.134; and how to recognize medical signs and symptoms. Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
